This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Engineering Associate will help optimize the interconnected components of a manufacturing system. We seek a professional who will develop and apply engineering standards and procedures, providing advice on issues within the engineering field. We seek a professional who will collaborate with senior professionals to contribute to planning, designing and estimating time and cost, overseeing construction and maintenance of our structures, facilities, systems and components.
Key Accountabilities
- Follow prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems.
- Continue to build knowledge of the organization, processes and customers.
- Contribute to designing and improving manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment, testing manufactured products to maintain quality.
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Flexibility to work weekends and night shifts as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
• Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree
Position Information
• Relocation assistance will be provided for this position.
• Minimum travel is required for training purposes.
• This position is located in Iowa Falls, IA
• The work schedule is: Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm
