Production Operator

This position is in our Food Enterprise where we are committed to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.
Job Purpose and Impact
Production Operator will operate, perform maintenance and troubleshoot a series of machines and equipment with interaction of several process variables to produce product with broad knowledge of policies and procedures and regular guidance. In this role, you will maximize throughput and produce quality product while following all food safety and regulatory policies.
Key Accountabilities
- Learn operating procedures, receives input from peers and may provide feedback on clarity and effectiveness of guidance, including procedure documentation to pursue continuous improvement of facility operation.
- Use hand and power tools to perform preventative and autonomous maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues, escalating complex machine issues.
- Monitor equipment, operate control, process samples, adjust machine processes using selectivity and judgement and utilize computer systems to input and record data.
- Set up and operate control systems for a series of machines requiring interaction of several variables.
- Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications :
- Minimum Diploma degree (D3) in mechanical, industrial, chemical, food, or other relevant engineering field or manufacturing
- Minimum 1 years of experience in manufacturing and hands-on chemical process
- Capable of building collaborative working relationships
- Attention to detail, good physical stamina
- Demonstrated excellence in priority setting and execution skills
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with food industries equipment and processes
- Demonstrated high level of problem solving ability to make decisions independently
