Shifts Available: 2nd
Schedule: 3:45pm – 12:30am (Nightshift). Occasional Saturdays for overtime based on business needs
Compensation: Wage is starting at $24.55/hour as per the collective agreement
Starting rate for experienced qualified Halal Butchers (2+ years of experience) is $26.25/hour
Starting rate for entry level (less than 2 years of experience) is $24.55/hour

Principal Accountabilities
Willing to be trained if you are a qualified candidate that meets all the Halal requirements
Slaughter cattle as prescribed by religious laws using knives
Skin, clean and trim carcasses
Remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses
Split carcasses into smaller portions to facilitate handling
Work with specialized knives and equipment according to workplace health and safety requirements as well as safe food handling practices
Required Qualifications
Must be 18 years or older
Must be currently legal to work in Canada
Must meet all the requirements of Halal slaughter practices
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years industrial Halal butchering experience in a manufacturing environment
