Job Purpose and Impact
The Transportation Accountant & Data Analyst is part of the Carrier Support Services COE for Cargill Procurement Transportation (CPT). In this role you will manage the processes and systems for freight audit & payment or transportation data maintenance activities to ensure timely & accurate payment to carriers, data management, and accounting of freight expenses. This position will support multiple modes of transportation and transportation management systems. You will engage with internal businesses, global functional partners, and transportation carriers to apply expertise, including process excellence, identifying process improvement opportunities, evaluating process controls, and supporting system implementations.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide expert knowledge of processes and systems related to freight audit & payment, freight accounting, and transportation master data management.
- Collaborate with other Cargill Procurement Transportation teams, business personnel, and functional partners to resolve moderately complex issues
- Lead process improvement initiatives, support system implementations, and monitor/improve CPT service metrics
- Evaluate & monitor risk and segregation of duties to ensure adequate process control
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of related work experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of payment control processes, internal controls, and segregation of duties
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Excel, Word, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
• SAP / JDE / AS400 experience
• Knowledge of transportation and logistics
• Experience in freight payment or master data management processes

- Work schedule: Dayshift Mon- Fri
- Position is based in Wichita, KS
