This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Process Engineer II applies engineering techniques to assist in the improvement of manufacturing processes and products. In this role, you will provide technical support, operations experience, continuous improvement and project management skills in a plant support capacity that ensures safe, efficient and low-cost plant operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Review and recommend manufacturing equipment and processes designed to be efficient, cost-effective, and to promote quality and reliability.
- Assesses current manufacturing equipment and processes and makes recommendations for changes.
- Helps to fix and repair equipment. Shows results in reports.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Possesses working knowledge of engineering subject matter
- Minimum of two years of related work experience
- Project design and Project management
- Willing and able to work in Watkins, NY
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong data analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certifications
- SAP Knowledge
- Clarizen Knodledge
- PPM- project management programs
Position Information
- Location: Watkins, NY

The expected salary for this position is $69,000-117,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
