Supply Chain Planner

This position is in our Food Enterprise where we are committed to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.
Job Purpose and Impact
For our chocolate production site in Antwerp, we are looking for an experienced production planner who understands how demand, capacity, raw materials and shop-floor reality come together. In this role, you ensure that production plans are optimised and aligned with operational constraints. You play a key role within the local supply chain team by not only taking ownership of the production schedule, but also of the stock position of finished products and the supply of raw materials. You have a hands-on mentality, and you excel under pressure to ensure the best customer service.
Key Accountabilities
- Create, maintain and optimise short-term production schedules to meet customer demands and business targets. Adjust these plans proactively in response to changes in customer requirements, capacity constraints or operational issues.
- Provide accurate and timely input to the supply planner for multiple production lines, covering both liquid and solid production processes.
- Manage inventories of finished products and raw materials, both on-site and at the external warehouse.
- Maintain and update data relevant to master planning, production scheduling and material requirements planning activities, including planning calendars, material data and location settings.
- Resolve basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
- Fluent in Dutch and English
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Three to five years of experience in supply chain planning or within an industrial production environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Highly analytical and well-organised, with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
- Customer-focused mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
- A passion for food and chocolate in particular
