This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Food safety and Quality Specialistwill assist in establishing, maintaining, and conducting audits to ensure compliance with all existing regulatory and quality systems within the company. In this role, you will support the processing facility by reviewing third-party certifications and preparing responses to customer inquiries, inspections, reports, and complaints arising from quality and food or product safety inspections.
We offer shift work: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm.
Replacement contract - fixed-term employment (approximately 20 months).
Location: Słupca, Greater Poland Voivodeship
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for promoting food or product safety awareness throughout the plant, developing the competencies of plant specialists, and assisting others with topics related to food or product safety, hazard analysis, and critical control points.
- Assisting others with food or product safety issues by training new team members in food or product safety procedures.
- Monitoring production processes from a quality perspective – monitoring temperatures, glass and plastic inspections, etc.
- Identifying and updating specific quality procedures, instructions, and tools directly related to food and product safety.
- Accurately completing internal and external safety and quality audits, including addressing non-conformances at the site.
- Managing basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology, or related field.
- Experience in a production environment
Preferred requirements
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and computer skills.
- Basic knowledge of quality assurance and food safety.
- Knowledge of HACCP and BRC and IFS standards is a plus.
- Fluent Polish- daily work in Polish (English is a plus)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
