Job Purpose and Impact
The Advisor, Global Feed Ingredients will lead the global category strategy for a portfolio of animal nutrition feed ingredients within Cargill Animal Nutrition and Health (ANH), ensuring alignment with business objectives across regions. In this role, you will act as a domain expert responsible for managing the global commodity position, optimizing supply, demand, and risk management to deliver competitive advantage.
You will develop and execute sourcing and commercial strategies, leveraging deep market expertise to align internal stakeholders and external partners. This includes ensuring reliable supply, cost competitiveness, and value creation across the ingredient portfolio while meeting production, quality, and customer requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement global and regional category strategies for animal nutrition feed ingredients aligned with ANH business objectives, including supply positioning, risk management, and margin optimization.
- Act as the global category lead for assigned commodities, providing market intelligence, pricing insights, and strategic direction to internal stakeholders across regions.
- Collaborate with transportation and logistics, quality assurance, customer managers, and credit teams to ensure efficient execution of supply and commercial strategies.
- Plan and manage purchases, supplier allocation, and transportation to optimize global supply chain efficiency, inventory positioning, and asset utilization.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key global suppliers, including leading negotiations, resolving supply challenges, and driving continuous improvement.
- Partner with regional teams and stakeholders to execute category strategies, ensuring alignment and consistency while addressing local market dynamics.
- Independently work with accounting and finance to manage contract execution, inventory valuation, and financial performance of the commodity portfolio.
- Analyze global market trends, trade flows, and freight opportunities to identify risks and opportunities, maximizing margin and competitive positioning.
- Work directly with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to develop tailored solutions that support broader business strategy.
- Lead category performance management by defining metrics, monitoring outcomes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.
