Principal Accountabilities
- Knowledge of product specifications and general operations
- Possess knowledge of food safety and sanitation polices
- Monitor product and confidently uphold product quality
- Train personnel to identify between acceptable product and product that does not meet Cargill’s quality standard
- Instruct and support line employees on job performance
- Communicate with leads, supervisors, and managers on the production floor
- Provide support for the area superintendent
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to taste samples of finished product to make sure it meets customer specifications and document any findings
- Must have the ability to train and coach employees on product specifications and quality
- The ability to recognize a problem and demonstrate good decision-making skills
- Must be able to speak, read, & write in EnglishMust have Microsoft Excel skills
- Able to lift 40 lbs
- Internal candidates only: Good Attendance /Safety record requirements are as follows: 4 points or less on attendance and no written warnings on safety
- Must have the ability to perform the above job requirements for both frozen and fresh ground beef processes
- Must be available to work weekends and extended hours – until production shift is completed
- Must be able to cover between shifts upon business needs/Supervisor request with up to less than 24 hour notice
